The Chateau of Montrabech-Pitt

The bell-tower of the church Saint-Felix, Lezignan

The Chateau of Montrabech-Pitt is in the wine region of Lézignan, one of the nine regions of the Corbières.

The vineyards are planted with carignan, grenache noir, syrah, cinsaut, muscat petits grains and vermentino or rolle, on rocky ground dating from the ancient quaternary, on the edge of the river Aude, near the Canal du Midi.

The commercialisation of our wines in France is in local markets, the supermarket chains, restaurants and wine shops and national and international trade fairs.

We export to the United Kingdom, Belgium, Denmark, Holland, Italy and Spain.

The Appellation of the Corbieres

The Corbières extend to the foothills of the Pyrénées between Carcassonne, Narbonne, Perpignan et Quillan. Situated in the heart of the "Cathar country", the Corbières enjoy a sunny Mediterranean climate. The great diversity of soils means that the massif of the Corbières has 9 distinct "terroirs" or wine areas.

The AOC Corbières is the largest of the Languedoc appellations (1985), which are grouped together under the Centre Interprofessionnel des Vins du Languedoc who's function is to promote the wines of the Languedoc producers.

Charly Pitt was recently appointed Grand Maître of the Confrérie des Corbières. His rôle is to promote the wines of the Corbières and to organise Chapters, ceremonies wherein personalities of the world of entertainment, politics, or professions are made honory members and who become ambassadors of the wines of the region.
